2 Cold Email Approaches to Finding Clients
Give instant value. Don’t beg for work.
The first $2k client I ever worked with came from a cold email.
Over the years, I’ve changed my cold email approach. I’ve done short-form, to-the-point cold emails. I tried long-form emails. I even took a cold email course. I’ve had more cold-email styles than Taylor Swift’s singing.
What I’ve discovered is that there's no golden formula for cold-emailing. You have to find what works and give it a try. You’re trying whatever you can to get a response from a prospect.
Having said that, I’ve tried two cold-email approaches that have worked for me over the years.
Here they are.
Cold Email Approach #1
The short and sweet method.
This method involves a quick introduction, how you would help them, and a call to action.
Remember, you’re emailing founders or decision-makers who are very busy. They don’t have time for 2-minute to read emails. Make it 30-seconds. Draw them, show value, and make it easy to respond.
Here’s an example you can use.
