3 Lessons I’ve Learned As a Content Creator
I’ve learned some things work and some definitely don’t work.
Content creator is probably the hardest job I’ve ever had.
5 years ago I was a struggling teacher. I quit teaching to pursue nursing. Along the way, I started writing on the side. And now, after working as a copywriter for a few agencies, I’m creating content every day as my full-time job.
Even though I consider content creation a hard job, it’s also a job I’ve loved the most. I love learning. I’m continuing to figure things out even when I make mistakes.
Of all the lessons and mistakes I’ve learned, here are the most important lessons I’ve learned as a content creator.
Creating Content Is an Every Day Job
I don’t have a budget to hire ghostwriters. I don’t hire people to schedule my calendar or do work for me.
As a content creator, I do everything myself. And that’s the challenge. When I started creating content as a side hustle, I could coast through the week. Sometimes I publish twice a week. Sometimes I don’t publish at all.
Creating content as a full-time job forces me to take action. I have to look at every day as an opportunity to get better at what I do.
