3 Reasons Why You Should Write Online
Writing is about discovering and retaining your ideas.
Writing online empowers people to write about their ideas.
The struggle is in actually doing it. Just because we have the freedom to write online doesn’t mean we actually will. We’re afraid of what people will think. We feel imposter syndrome.
Whenever I feel alone and afraid, I keep writing. I give myself three reasons to write.
1. Discover New Ideas
When you force yourself to write, you force yourself to discover new ideas.
Writing allows you to unravel your most exciting ideas. You’ll either realize it was worth writing about. Or you’ll realize that idea was all sizzle with no pizzazz.
Before I started writing, I waited and waited for inspiration. Very few ideas would come to me. I waited to write about something worth writing about. But I had it backward.
You have to write to discover what’s worth writing about.
2. Retain Old Ideas
Your writing is an autobiography of every idea you’ve ever had.
