Learning to make your writing stand out is an underrated skill.

Most writers want to tell a story. Maybe they want to write fancy sentences about fancy subjects. But the problem that 99% of writers have is learning to write clearly. That means structuring your writing. It means enhancing readability.

Most readers assume better readability comes from dumbing down your writing. Not true. I’ve found a better way to make your writing stand out.

Here’s how I do it.

Use Numbers In Your Hooks & Headlines

Readers remember numbers. It’s also specific and tells the reader exactly what to expect.

I didn't say, “some things to make your writing stand out.” I said, “3 things to make your writing stand out.” Your readers want to know exactly what they will read before they read it.

You can also use numbers to be more specific in your hooks on social media. I do this on LinkedIn with short-form posts. Again, it guides the reader.
