4 Lessons I’ve Learned Writing on Medium for 60 Consecutive Days

I’ve written on Medium for 60 days straight (except for getting sick and having a birthday).

I admit I gave up on Medium a year ago.

When I started writing on this platform in 2019, I had high hopes. I read stories about writers making thousands. I wanted to create a superb publication. I wanted to find my writing voice. I wanted so much on Medium. And that’s why I gave up.

My expectations are much lower this time around. I only aim to do one thing on Medium — teach one thing to readers every day.

Along the way, I’ve learned valuable lessons about writing

Here are the four lessons I’ve learned writing on Medium.

1. When in doubt, share your experiences

When I committed to writing on Medium every day in October 2022, I committed to writing as much as possible.

The challenge was figuring out what to write about. That’s when I realized I could tell stories about my experiences. I could share what I’ve learned as a freelancer and a copywriter.
