As a child, C.S. Lewis described finding books in his home as simple as “finding a new blade of grass.”

Lewis read everything. He loved to read because that’s what he knew. He was influenced by everything he read. It influenced everything he wrote.

I’m still learning so much about writing. It’s one thing to be consistent and write every day; it’s another to improve consistently. My ultimate goal is to write better stories that leave a lasting impression.

Writing fiction is a challenge for me. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved stories. I love science fiction and fantasy stories.

But I’ve never actually published something. I’ve accumulated draft after draft of stories. I need to take these drafts and publish them. I need to finish these stories and stop worrying if they are any good.

I fear what people will think. I fear not being good enough. And I'll never be a storyteller if I can’t overcome that fear. I need to keep writing. Keep sharing. Keep building confidence.
