5 Things I’m Working On As a Writer
How I’m building my brand.
I love everything about writing.
I love stories. I love creating sentences. I love wordplay. I love breaking grammar rules. I love teaching people about writing. I love copywriting. I love it all.
The challenge is staying focused on a topic of writing. I don’t want to fall into the trap of writing only about writing. I want to write about storytelling and copywriting. And teaching everything I know about that.
I’m giving myself five goals I want to work towards to stay focused.
1. Publish Short Stories
My sister sent me a relatively unknown collection of short stories by Ray Bradbury. I didn’t even know they existed. But they do. And they are great.
That’s just it — we always think the greatest storytellers tell the best stories. And that they are always popular. That’s a false truth. They write a lot of stories because they love storytelling. And a few of them become iconic.
I’ve dabbled with short stories. They are a fantastic way to stretch the creative muscle of storytelling. I need to publish more without fearing what others think or say.
