LinkedIn is the perfect place to build a community, become a creator, and work with clients.

The problem is that most people don’t know how to use LinkedIn.

Last year I went from 2,000 to 7,000 followers in about 4 months. But I didn’t post and ghost. I took Justin Welsh’s course and observed what other creators were doing.

Here are the seven undervalued LinkedIn tips for building an audience.

1. Comment on top creator posts

Find your favorite creators and tap the bell on their profiles. You’ll get notified every time they post.

When they post, leave a thoughtful comment (ideally within the first 30 minutes). The creator’s followers will see your comment and likely check out your profile.

Depending on your comment, you may also get more followers.

It’s worked for me when I comment on Justin Welsh’s post.

2. Respond to comments within 30 minutes
