A swipe file is your inspiration.

My old copywriting process was simple:

  • Gather marketing materials from the client
  • Write copy
  • Send to client for feedback

My entire process has evolved over the years. It’s way more in-depth because I want to master the customer's voice.

I want things to convert higher than ever.

To achieve that goal, I created a system. I found easy ways to make my copywriting process more effective.

1. Document Your Entire Process

Most businesses don’t have processes. If they do have a process, it’s a broken one.

In the last year, I’ve invested in the coaching of Joanna Weibe’s copywriting resources. I’ve learned how invaluable it is to have a mentor.

More importantly, I learned how important it is to document your process.

That means:

  • Have a research, survey, and strategy phase
  • Have a writing, editing, and wireframing phase
  • Have a validation phase
