A 3-Step System for Writing Every Day
How to stop overthinking and start writing more.
Writing every day is about having the right mindset:
- I can write from anywhere
- I can write when I don’t feel like it
- I can write with the knowledge I have
Positive mindsets make it easier to write. But you also need to focus on creating a system.
Here’s my 3-step system for writing every day.
1. Choose 3 of your favorite topics and frameworks
Staring at a blank page is the worst.
To avoid that, I start with my favorite categories: writing, copywriting, and marketing. Now I dig deeper. I need to find a topic around these categories.
This is where frameworks help. For example, How to achieve this benefit without this pain point. That becomes, How to write clearly without overthinking it.
Now you have a working title.
2. Set a timer for 1 hour and write
The next step is to set a timer.
You need constraints to write. Put your phone in another room. Put your headphones on. Set a timer.
