Education is supposed to teach you how to write.
It gives you an understanding of grammar.

But an education can’t teach you transparency. It can’t teach you to express yourself or your experiences.

It took me a long time to break from the mold of academic writing. I eventually learned to write with a voice that didn’t care about obeying the laws of English.
Yes, writing with a transparent voice takes time. Developing your writing style takes time.
Not giving a damn about what other people think takes time.
But when you finally develop that transparency in your writing, it makes your stories more unique. And much more worthwhile to read.
