Last year I wrote 90 days in a row on Medium.
I shared as much as I could about copywriting examples and how to build a writing habit. It was an awesome experiment that taught me a lot about writing and Medium as a platform.
Here are some of the most important lessons I learned.
Get Started
Writing is never about the platform you’re writing on. The tools don’t make the artist.
You, the writer, make the artist.
You have to think, feel, and act on your desire to write. You have to write no matter what you think about your writing. Medium makes it seamless to write something and publish it.
No code. No editors. Just publish.
That’s always been my goal. Just get started and let my audience decide what content they love the most. After months of writing, I’ve learned something about my writing. I’ve learned something about my readers.
