Great copywriting anticipates customer objections.

When you know what’s holding the customer back from purchasing, you know how to address it.

Over the years, I’ve learned to anticipate customer questions in my copywriting, especially on websites, landing pages, and emails.

Here are six ways to handle customer objections in your copywriting.

1. What is it?

If your prospect is confused, they won’t buy from you.

Great copywriting offers clear understanding. The clarity of your message offers a clear understanding of your product.

Here’s how to address this objection:

  • Clear headline (what you do and who you do it for)
  • Clear CTA (make it easy to see and frictionless — get started for free)
  • Bullet points that show bite-sized value

2. What does it do for me?

As your prospect scrolls your website or landing page, they will wonder, “what’s in it for me?”
