I’ve posted on LinkedIn almost every day since September 2022.

I’ve had a viral post. Had a post that helped me land five client meetings in a week. And have had multiple posts bomb. What have I learned from it all?

I’ve learned how to approach LinkedIn in four simple steps.

Here’s an effective way to approach LinkedIn.

1. Experiment with short and long-form posts

There’s no golden rule on posting short or long-form content.

I’ve done both. I’ve given short, bite-sized ideas. And I’ve explained longer posts.

Here’s what I’ve noticed is the most important:

  • You need a hook
  • You need structure
  • You need a conclusion

These are essential if you want to be understood. You want your audience to understand your ideas (hook), your explanation (structure), and why it matters (conclusion).

2. Experiment with different explanations

There are four different kinds of learners: Visual, Auditory, Read/Write, and Kinaesthetic.
