Make it easy and about the customer.

Whenever I work with startups on copywriting or marketing, I tend to find that 99% of startups overcomplicate things.

They try to stuff information as possible into their landing pages. They love what their product does and want to make sure the world knows about it.

Instead, startups should be asking two questions:

  • What’s the most amount of information a user needs to convert?
  • What’s the least amount of information a user needs to convert?

Startups should also consider the customer experience. It’s not about the product or brand but about helping the customer.

Make Your Message Lead With Value

Startups typically don’t have an existing audience. Nobody knows your brand logo or what your startup even does.

And that’s why it’s important to be clear in your copywriting. Call out your audience. Lead with value.

It makes the overall message clearer.
