How to Be a Distinct Marketer

In the modern era, everyone is a marketer. While many may perceive it as a problem, there is also plenty of opportunities to stand out from the crowd.

The problem.

The problem is not everyone has an understanding of marketing or advertising. Online courses are teaching people how to find a side hustle, from running Facebook ad campaigns to email campaigns. But they aren’t teaching the principles of marketing or brand strategies.

While I encourage people to find side hustles that make them a marketing specialist, I also encourage them to understand more about what makes marketers flourish. What makes Apple flourish. What makes the best marketing agencies flourish.

Side hustles are generally about how anyone can make an extra $500 to $1000 per month. It’s less about the brand, marketing strategies, niches & ultimately how to serve the customer. These are, however, essential to being an exceptional marketer.

The opportunities.

While there’s a flood of people coming into marketing, especially as a freelance marketing specialist, it offers more opportunities to be unique, to be distinguishable.
