If I Started Writing on Medium In 2024, This Is What I’d Do

How to create a winning writing system on Medium.

My life has changed since writing on Medium in 2019.

I’ve worked with clients. I’ve made some modest monthly earnings ($200 to $400). I’ve built an audience of 3k followers. My email list has grown.

Most importantly, I’ve found my voice as a writer. If you want to try out Medium in 2024, this is what I’d do.

Find a System That Works for You

As a parent, my writing system is bonkers. But I still have a system.

It involves:

• Getting up at 5:30 am to write
• Kept my phone in another room
• Work in concentrated efforts of 30 minutes
• Creating a content strategy that gives me endless ideas
• Repurposing content on different platforms that perform well

My system is far from perfect. I’m still trying to figure it out every week. And some weeks are better than others.

But having some sort of system is better than no system. Parenting and systems don’t always get along. That’s why I always try to keep a flexible mindset.
