Some days, I feel like giving up as a writer. I don’t have the energy. I’m distracted.

I have to remind myself why I write.

If you’ve struggled with consistency as a writer, perhaps my secret to enduring will help you to continue as a writer.

Here’s how I keep enduring as a writer.

How will you feel after writing?

Whenever I finish writing, I feel relaxed. I feel I’ve taken another step as a writer.

More importantly, forcing myself to write is forcing my mind to find new ideas. Until I make myself write, I take breaks. Go on walks. Let my brain wander. Then return to the work.

My secret to never giving up as a writer is endurance. It’s grit.

I can choose to do something else besides writing. But then the cycle repeats. If I choose something else, I’ll reach a point where I feel like giving up. Because that’s life.

Ultimately, I choose not to give up on writing.

Giving up is easy. Good work is always challenging

We’re in an age when giving up is the easiest thing to do.
