The 7 Pains of Writing
And how writers escape it.
The best writers have imposter syndrome.
They attack it differently. They don’t let it rule their life. Imposter syndrome is a painful part of writing.
It can prevent you from writing your stories.
Other painful levels of writing can hold you back. Here’s what you need to do to overcome them.
1. The Pain of Writing Something Nobody Will Read
Every writer, at some point, thinks they will write something that nobody will read.
I’ve had this fear over and over again. My approach is to keep writing. Keep showing up. Don’t let that fear rule my life.
I also have the mentality that I write to express myself. I write to share what I’m learning. It’s not about how many people read it.
It’s about me getting started and showing up.
2. The Pain of Writing Something Everybody Will Hate
When you first start writing, you think you’ll write something everybody hates.
This is toxic thinking. Be confident in your words.
Write it. Edit it. Publish it. Get feedback and iterate.
