The Best Ways to Boost Engagement on LinkedIn

A lot more than writing posts.

When I first posted on LinkedIn, I’d share random links to articles I wrote.

I’d get zero engagement. Nobody commented. I literally had no idea what I was doing.

Since then, I’ve studied other creators. I’ve taken courses on LinkedIn. I’ve learned that there are things you can do to boost engagement.

Avoid Thinking In Virality

Everything tends to think in terms of virality. I used to want one of my LinkedIn posts to go viral so badly. Everyone wants it.

Going viral should never be the goal. People are in engagement pods because they want people to like their posts.

Don’t think in virality, think in terms of readability.

  • Does my content interest my ideal reader?
  • Does my content help my ideal reader?
  • Could my content be clearer?

Always Engage With 10+ Other Accounts

More people will see your content when you engage with their accounts.

Go to someone’s profile (ideally, your buyer's accounts) and engage with their posts. Or you can engage with high profile creator accounts.
