The Lessons I’ve Learned From Two Months on Substack
A few things I’ve figured out about the newsletter platform
Building a newsletter takes a lot of patience.
Part of it comes down to figuring out what platform you want to host your newsletter on. I started with ConvertKit (and still use it to collect emails). However, two months ago, I swapped over to Substack.
It might be a stupid decision. It might also be the best decision I’ve ever made.
Substack Feels Like a Community
Although it’s only been a few months, Substack feels like a genuine community of readers.
I’ve received a few comments from my newsletter that I never received on ConvertKit. People can leave comments that live forever.
I can also create a community group from my newsletter, which I plan to do. It also feels like an easy transition to take subscribers and make them feel like they are part of more than a newsletter.
