How I find inspiration when I don’t feel like writing.

At some point, every writer doesn’t feel like writing.

It happens to everyone. Writers reach a point where they want to give up. Writing may become boring. Writing may become a chore. Maybe you just lose your purpose as a writer.

Whenever I have those moments (and I’ve had many of them), I remind myself why I write.

I remember what inspires me to write.

I Read My Favorite Articles

Whenever I feel like giving up as a writer, I read my favorite articles.

For instance, I read this Bill Simmons article on the Red Sox winning the World Series. When you read it, you see his joy. You see how much he loves expressing himself.

He loves talking about, living it, and writing about his experience.

I woke up thinking about the Red Sox. Answered e-mails, read the paper, showered, shaved, never stopped thinking about the Red Sox. Found that I was so excited, I could barely keep a thought in my head. Skipped through the day’s routine…
