What is The Scientific Marketer?
Nearly a year ago, I turned my part-time marketing work into full-time work. I took specialized marketing courses, read Ogilvy, Shotton, Schwartz & many others work about marketing. I’ve written a number of pieces on Medium about marketing, entrepreneurship, ideas, freelancing, fatherhood & more.
And I’ve made so many mistakes along the way.
Which is why I created The Scientific Marketer. It isn’t just to show what works behind marketing campaigns. It’s about my failures in marketing, what hasn’t worked, what I learned from that experience.
I’ve learned that if I don’t speak about my failures — clearly articulate them — then I’m doing a disservice to others by not teaching them what I learned.
But The Scientific Marketer is also about sharing what works in marketing, beyond just a simple definition. It’s about sharing unique methods, what influencer marketing means, how behavioral science affects marketing and other questions that some of us are maybe…
